Firefighters will collect canned food from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in front of Safeway, 1525 W. Main St. Lifeflight has agreed to bring one of their helicopters (weather and emergencies permitting) from noon to 4 p.m. A donation of canned food or money will get a person a tour of the helicopter. West Linn sixth-graders to help homeless teens

Homeless teenagers will be treated to an early Thanksgiving on Saturday. Many Hands, a community service group of West Linn sixth-graders, will deliver Thanksgiving-themed sack lunches to the Janus Youth Program's Access Center of Portland.
